Tempest Rising is fine if you're looking for a fluffy read without too much depth. Nothing very original, other than that Jane is a half-selkie instead of a vampire/witch/werewolf. The characters are pretty flat (especially Ryu), though entertaining in their own way. The plot is pretty predictable, and the setting less-than-extraordinary. Half a leaf for putting the Supe Court in Quebec, though! Yay Canada! :)
