*Trigger Warning: Some discussion of rape and consent*
Hexed, the second installment in Kevin Hearne's Iron Druid series, was every bit as amazing as the first book. Check out my review of it to find out all the things I loved, and you can pretty much apply it verbatim to this one.
My only issue was with the whole rough sex thing with the Morrigan. I mean, I'm glad she healed his ear and everything, and I get that Hearne was trying to portray the whole incident in a kind of humourous light, but it didn't work for me. Not because of the roughness (it wasn't graphic or anything), but because Atticus didn't seem to want it. Any sex that's unwanted by one of the parties involved, regardless of whether they're male or female, is rape. Maybe I missed something, and there was consent on his part, but it sure didn't seem that way. At the very least, it was ambiguous.
Otherwise, a fantastic story.
