This was a one-night, could-not-put-it-down, needed-five-morning-cups-of-tea-because-I-stayed-up-way-too-late read for me. Whew, that was a lot of hyphens. Sorry.
In a genre replete with tropes and triangles, it is so refreshing to encounter a world like the one created by Seanan McGuire in her InCryptid series. The Aeslin mice - you need to read this series if only for the Aeslin mice.
I've heard rumblings of disappointment that the next book in the series isn't focused on Verity, which I can't really say I agree with. I'm so glad Ms. McGuire is moving on to other members of the Price family - I've been wildly curious about them!
Can't wait for the next one!
