Holy crap. Did that really just happen? I finished this book a couple of days ago and my head is still reeling from the implications of what went down. And this is book eight in the series! Do you know how many other series I've followed this far? Not many. Usually a series loses me by book 5 or 6 when the primary story arc is wrapped up and the author is forced to either take things to the extreme *coughAnitaBlakecough* or simply keep writing the same formulaic plots with new window dressing *coughDresdencough*.
This series is without a doubt the best I've ever read. It's consistently well-written, with characters who grow and change in genuine, non-contrived ways, and plot lines that are tight and obviously well-planned. Each book is better than the last.
Basically what I'm saying is if you haven't ventured into the world of October Daye, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? GO READ THIS NOW!!
