This book was Christmas gift from a friend, and I'll admit that I was a little apprehensive as I don't tend to like mysteries because of their reliance on the "aha!" moment or the plot twist at the expense of character development or even believability.
Thankfully my fears were totally unfounded - The Three Evangelists was a fun read. Though the mystery itself wasn't anything spectacular (I honestly didn't care how it ended or whodunit), the charming characters and their interactions were compelling enough to keep me coming back for more. A solid four maple leaves.
