I finished reading this just minutes ago, and my heart is still breaking. One Salt Sea is another wonderful addition to the October Daye series, with interesting new characters, a trip to Undersea, the return of favourite characters, and so much more.
What has my heart aching is the agonizing blend of hope and despair Toby finds herself in at the end. I can't reveal the cause without giving away the plot, but whatever authorial respect Ms. McGuire didn't already have from me prior to this point is now hers.
