I bought this book shortly after it was published, having read and loved the first five of the series. Raine Benares is one of my favourite fictional characters, and there is just so much to enjoy about the plot, supporting characters and world Ms. Shearin has created.

Which is why it sat on my Kobo for almost 2 years before I read it. I didn't want the series to end! Don't get me wrong, I'm always glad when an author isn't afraid to end a series at the right time rather than beat a dead horse, but part of me just didn't want to say goodbye to Raine, Mychael, Tam and company.

I finally worked up the courage to read it, though, and wasn't disappointed. Things were wrapped up in a highly satisfactory manner, and all my favourite characters got their respective HEA or come-uppance.

This series will definitely be going on my re-read shelf.
